Several customers of Smartnumbers Control using Nuisance Call Protection feature in their call flows were impacted by an issue where Nuisance Call Protection was triggered excessively on regular traffic.
The problem was traced back to a fault introduced in an earlier routine update. The change was reverted and normal behavior of the feature restored.
Any and all changes introduced to the production environment by Smartnumbers pass through comprehensive and thorough testing. Unfortunately, in this instance, since the underlying behaviour happened only intermittently and in certain situations, it managed to successfully pass our internal Quality Assurance.
